On March 30, A Manhattan grand jury indicted presidential candidate Trump for payments to porn star Stormy Daniels in a hush money scandal. The payment had to be listed as something other than what it was according to Attorney Laura Coates. In this sense it would be a cover up attempt and perhaps related to influencing the election as the money was paid out during the 2016 campaign. Trump claimed it is another way of interfering in elections and that he did nothing wrong. Trump is the first president to be convicted of a crime.
