WATCH - Trailer for Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' released

The trailer for the latest movie about the life of the late Whitney Houseton has arrived. A biopic, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” arrives on pre-Christmas weekend, December 21 in theaters exclusively. From this first look it appears the emphasis will be placed on discovering and exposing er uniquely gifted voice to te worls, as opposed to her struggles and controversies that followed her to the grave.

Here is what we know so far about the cast in the big screen film. British actress Naomi Ackie will play the role of Houston. Bobby Brown is played by Ashton Sanders, who is best known for playing teenage Chiron in te Oscar winning film Moonlight.

The role of Clive Davis, the producer who discovered the singer, will be played by Stanley Tucci who hosts a food exploration program on CNN. Tamara Tunie will portray Houston's mom Cissy.

The film promises to show te whitne we never knew.
