Tyler Perry debunks Cassi Davis death hoax

Tyler Perry has come forth to clear up rumors about the death of Cassi Davis. The actress who plays Aunt Bam on "House pof Payne" is not only alive, but well Perry said. In a video statement he said he was getting condolence calls and called Davis to see if she was dead in an Instagram post.

The rumor was spread about the beloved star via an article on the Internet that alleged she died of lung cancer.

According to her long-time bossand close friend Mr. Perry, "I don’t know how she could have died and nobody told me or her. So I called her and asked her was she dead and she said 'hell no!'"

She told him this is not the first time she has been the victim of lies concernign her death.

Far too often celebritites ar ethe victims of internet hoaxes. Davis has gotten used to it. Taking the unfortunate runmor in stribe she joked saying she "died more times than a cat."

"Whoever you are it is my hope and prayer that you would stop," he asked at the end of the video.
