(TSN): "Easter is about God solving a problem," began the Rev. Franklin Graham, speaking to a packed room of Christians at the White House observing Easter. He said that problem was sin entering the world and Christ giving his life as a pardon. Those who accept Him as Lord, he taught, would escape the grips of hell.
The service included a message, singing by the Liberty University Choir, prayers, an altar call and communion on Holy Thursday commemorating the Savior's Last Supper. Staffers spoke of the event being a "wonderful" experience.
Pastor Greg Laurie said a new Jesus Movement is underway in the U.S. and the people in that room were called for such a time as this to usher it in.
Sharing a lesser known detail Pastor Jetesen Franklin offered that one of the last things Christ did before he was crucified was to sing a hymn. As a reflection on this he played "Because He Lives" and "Amazing Grace" in his saxaphone as congregants like FOX News host Greta Van Sustern and President Donald Trump's Pardon Czar Alive Johnson joined in.
