BOMB SCARE: Second Gent Emhoff safe after being at high school during bomb threat

Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, was speaking at a commemorative Black History Month event at a historically Black DC high school when someone called in a bomb threat.

Emhoff was at Dunbar High School, the first all Black HS in Washington. At 2:15 a call came into the school warning that they had 10 minutes to get out of the school. was in the school's museum for about five minutes before a member of Secret Service sprang into action approached him saying, “we have to go,” then quickly escorting him out of the room.

Emhoff was removed from the building around 2:18 p.m. and taken to his waiting motorcade. The entire student body was evacuated and sent home safely.

There was not incident.

Authorities are looking into whether this threat is related to recent threats to Historically Black Universities but do not believe there is a link.
